Nurul Rashidah bt. Ismail

I came in not knowing where to start. Hui Shan spent nearly the full hour just listening before she said anything, and when she did speak, everything was so clear. I left with a proper picture of what my options were for the first time in months. That first meeting was worth every ringgit and more.

We used the mediation service and I was genuinely surprised at how calm the whole process was. Razif kept things moving in a way that never felt rushed or pressured, and my former husband and I left with an agreement we had both actually talked through rather than just signed. It took a few sessions but it was done properly.

My situation had got to a point where formal steps were unavoidable. I was anxious about what that would mean. From the very first meeting with Hui Shan, she explained exactly what would happen and why, and at no point did I feel lost or alone in the process. The representation was thorough and the outcome was one I could accept.

I rang on a Tuesday morning not expecting much, and Priya was so kind from the start. She arranged an appointment for that Saturday which helped enormously as I could not take time away from work during the week. The meeting itself was nothing like I feared — it was just a calm conversation and I came away feeling much more settled.

The mediation took longer than I had hoped — three sessions altogether — but I understand why. There was a lot to work through and Razif was careful not to rush us into an agreement that wasn't right. My wife and I were able to discuss things we hadn't managed to talk about at home, and the arrangement we reached actually works for our children.

I want to be honest — I nearly didn't make the call because I didn't know if I was ready to face things formally. But the first conversation put me at ease immediately. Nothing was pushed on me, nothing was made to sound alarming. I was given information and time, and that was exactly what I needed to begin deciding what to do next.

Finding clarity after years of uncertainty

First Meeting & Support · Duration: Single session

The Situation

A client in her forties had been living in a difficult domestic situation for several years and had never felt ready to ask for formal help. She reached out simply wanting to understand what her legal position was without committing to any particular action.

What We Did

We held a confidential first meeting, spent time hearing her full account, and then set out the relevant legal framework in plain terms. We explained what rights she held, what steps were available, and what each would involve — without suggesting she had to take any of them that day.

The Outcome

She left with a written summary of her options and, in her own words, "felt like I could breathe for the first time in years." She returned three weeks later ready to begin mediation on her own terms.

A fair outcome for both parents and their children

Fair Agreements & Mediation · Duration: 5 weeks across 3 sessions

The Situation

A couple with two young children had agreed that their marriage had run its course, but could not find a way to discuss arrangements for the children and shared assets without the conversation becoming distressing. They hoped to avoid formal proceedings if possible.

What We Did

Three mediation sessions were held over five weeks. Razif facilitated the conversations, ensuring each party had space to speak and that the children's arrangements were considered carefully from both sides. All documents were prepared and reviewed with both parties before signing.

The Outcome

A legally recorded agreement was reached covering custody arrangements, asset division, and maintenance. Both parties felt the outcome reflected what was best for their children. No court appearance was required.

Steady representation when it was most needed

Careful Representation · Duration: Approximately 4 months

The Situation

A client facing formal family proceedings felt overwhelmed by the legal process and was unsure how to present his circumstances. He needed someone to handle the detail and represent his position clearly in a formal setting.

What We Did

Hui Shan took on the matter fully, preparing the case carefully over several weeks, liaising with the other party's legal team, and attending on the client's behalf at the relevant hearings. The client was kept informed at every stage and knew what to expect before each step.

The Outcome

The matter was concluded in approximately four months with an outcome the client felt was fair. He described the support he received as making a difficult period "far less frightening" than he had anticipated.
