"Seri Kasih", "we", "us", "our" refers to the family law practice operating from No. 27, Jalan Burma, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
"Services" refers to the legal services offered by Seri Kasih, including First Meeting & Support, Fair Agreements & Mediation, and Careful Representation.
"You" / "Client" refers to any individual who accesses this website or engages Seri Kasih for legal services.
"Agreement" refers to the client retainer or engagement letter entered into between you and Seri Kasih upon commencement of a legal matter.
"Website" refers to the online presence of Seri Kasih accessible at https://serikasimba.biz.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or engaging our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these terms in full.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use this website or engage our services.
3. Service Description
Seri Kasih provides family law services to individuals based in or with matters arising in Malaysia. Our services are available in English and Bahasa Malaysia and are primarily delivered from our office in George Town, Penang, with some communication conducted by telephone or email.
The specific scope of services in each case is set out in the engagement letter or client care letter provided to you at the commencement of your matter.
We reserve the right to decline to act in any matter at our reasonable professional discretion.
4. Your Responsibilities
When using our website or engaging our services, you agree to:

- Notify us promptly of any changes to information you have provided
- Use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe any third party's rights

6. Fees and Payment
Our current service fees are as follows:
- First Meeting & Support: RM 235
- Fair Agreements & Mediation: RM 284
- Careful Representation: RM 326
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are payable as set out in your engagement letter. We accept payment by bank transfer or cash at our office. Fees must be settled before or at the time of each service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Refunds: Fees paid for a First Meeting & Support are non-refundable once the meeting has taken place. For other services, any refund in the event of early termination will be calculated by reference to the work carried out up to the date of termination and assessed on a fair and reasonable basis.
7. Confidentiality
We are bound by legal professional privilege and strict professional conduct rules regarding client confidentiality. All information you share with us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent, save where required by law or our professional obligations.
This duty of confidentiality continues after the conclusion of your matter.
8. Disclaimers

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
Either party may end an engagement by providing reasonable written notice. We may also cease to act if required to do so under our professional conduct rules, for example where a conflict of interest arises or where we are unable to obtain sufficient instructions to continue.
On termination, you remain liable for fees in respect of work carried out to the date of termination. We will provide you with your file and documents upon settlement of any outstanding fees.
11. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern or complaint about our services, we ask that you contact us first at [email protected] so that we may address the matter directly.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Penang, Malaysia.
You may also refer concerns about our professional conduct to the Bar Council Malaysia or the Penang Bar Committee.
12. General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These terms, together with any engagement letter or client care letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seri Kasih in respect of the matters covered.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment: You may not assign any rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where we do, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
